In this digital age, when our lives are saturated with attention grabbing media, I contemplate my role as an artist and what, if anything, I could contribute. We are living through the active censorship of free speech, a concerted effort to diminish imagination and replace it with hatred. I am afraid, and therefore all the more determined to stand among artists who are speaking truth to power, illuminating the beauty of scientific achievements, reflecting on what it means to be alive, to love and suffer, to giggle and wonder. I hope, through my little creations, we can imagine something beautiful together.
